I Feel Better When is an important mantra for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This post was sponsored by Boys & Girls Clubs of America as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. #GreatFutures #ad #IC
Boys & Girls Clubs of America have over 4,000 Clubs located in public schools and public housing, on Native lands, in rural areas, and inner cities. Here in Manchester, NH, BGCA is a big part of our community. As the PTA president for our elementary school, I’ve seen first hand how beneficial Boys & Girls Club is in our community. The kids in our elementary school who participate in the after school program benefit from all that BCGA has to offer. “I feel better when” is a key mantra for Boys & Girls Clubs of America at the start of this New Year, as many people recommit to improving their health and wellness practices. This phrase leads to how small, daily behavioral changes can have a long-term, lasting impact. Triple Play is focused on these types of healthy lifestyle changes at a young age.
It’s important to teach kids about eating healthy, taking care of themselves and staying active. Active healthy kids are definitely happy kids! Triple Play is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s leading comprehensive health and wellness program that serves young people at Boys & Girls Clubs, giving them the tools and awareness necessary to put them on the path to a great future. With shorter than ever recess times and an influx of screen time, having play time is becoming even more important. The BGCA strives to help kids stay active in their own communities, indoors and out. In our home, we focus on healthy snacks like smoothies, and lots of fun outdoor activities!
National support from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation and Coca-Cola make it possible for Boys & Girls Clubs around the country to operate Triple Play. My family tries to stay active throughout the year with lots of fun activities like swimming, taking hikes and playing at the park – even apple picking! Because I know I feel better when I get plenty of sunshine, activity and eat healthy.
