I have written about my son Ethan’s challenging eating habits many times before, but you may recall that our daughter Olivia is the complete opposite. That girl loves to eat. Everything. In fact, Olivia wants to eat constantly. She’d much rather eat small snacks constantly then sit down to a meal. While she eats tons of healthy snacks like fruits and veggies, and frequently asks for salad, her constant grazing is bit frustrating and concerning. At five-years-old, we want Olivia to have developed healthy eating habits. We’re making some changes here at home to help curb the constant eating. Now, every meal and snack ends with me asking the question – is your belly full? If not, we have her nibble on a handful of grapes or a little more to drink so she’s not asking for a snack in five minutes!
Starting with a healthy breakfast sets the tone for the day. And, Stonyfield Whole Milk Smoothies help to fill up her seemingly bottomless belly before school. Her favorite flavor is the strawberry – but then, she loves all things strawberry! On less hectic mornings, I have time to make her a quick strawberry banana fruit smoothie, using the Stonyfield whole milk strawberry smoothies to thin it out.
One of my favorite treats is this Raspberry Banana “Frozen Yogurt” that has no sugar added, just lots of great flavor. It really satisfies my sweet tooth. I decided one morning after the kids had gone off to school to surprise Olivia with a delicious after school snack. As you can see, the result was this deliciously creamy frozen strawberry banana whip.
