I'm all about the smoothie bowls right now - they're such a delicious way to start the day. This Berry Banana Mini Smoothie Bowl for Kids is as scrumptious as it is beautiful. My son is a super picky eater and has a lot of sensory issues when it comes to food. He won't eat a blueberry to save his life, but he loves the Stonyfield Blueberry Blitz YoKids Squeeze pouches and has one every morning with a homemade muffin. He's very predictable! I love knowing that despite his limited diet, he's getting nutrition without additives or preservatives. The Blueberry Blitz is on my shopping list every week without fail! Then I had an idea and picked up some extra YoKids Squeeze pouches and fresh fruit at my local Walmart.

You see, my daughter loves a variety of foods. She especially enjoys fruits and veggies - in fact, she'd rather eat a pile of those than a 'meal' most days! But, she's not a big milk drinker, and isn't as into yogurt. Then I realized she loves sneaking bites of Mr. Juggling Act's smoothie bowls, so I decided to make her a mini version with some of her favorite fruits. That's how I came up with the recipe for this Berry Banana Mini Smoothie Bowl for Kids.

You can let the kids add their own toppings with their favorite fruits and nuts. Personally, I'm a big fan of the crunch from nuts or granola. I've even been known to add a dollop of whipped cream and savor this for dessert.

Oh yum! Even though the temps are freezing, I still love a smoothie bowl. And of course, my kids always want to eat whatever I'm eating.
