This looks really good! Thanks for sharing!
Approximately how many servings does this make? It looks like something i would enjoy.
Hi Sherri, this recipe will make about 8 servings, depending on how large your glassware is… sometimes for the kids I make a mini version and get closer to 12 servings. Enjoy!
This is a little off topic for this post, but I am wondering if you can tell me if I use a white cake mix (boxed) can I just add spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, etc., and make it into a spice cake? I love spice cake with brown sugar frosting like my Mom used to make it! She also made a spiced apple cake using apples off their trees and it was delicious, much the same as her regular spice cakes. She’s not around for me to ask anymore so I ask anyone I talk to for spiced cake recipes.
Hi! You could do that, but if you’re going to use a cake mix anyhow, I’d actually recommend using a spice cake mix instead. Adding homemade frosting to a boxed cake mix is one of my favorite time saving hacks!
