From the perfect breakfast casseroles, hash browns, fresh berries and fruit options, egg dishes, and even some French toast bakes. I have a handful of great option ideas for your family gatherings and serving up on Easter morning or as your Easter brunch menu.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays - there is so much to be grateful for this time of year. Here in New England, we're starting to see signs of Spring, and after a long cold winter, we are so appreciative of the warm sun and budding trees. It's easy to lose the meaning of Easter in the silliness and fun of the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, and pretty dresses.
As children, we were baptized on Easter, all four of us in our prettiest Sunday dresses and matching hair bows, of course. I remember to this day the way I felt at that moment when I accepted God into my life. I think I was maybe 12 or 14 at most, but the memory hasn't dimmed.
Through the years, my faith has perhaps wavered some, but never been lost. Recently, our family found a new church and we are finding a renewed joy in our faith. Our Easters are most often celebrated with a big brunch - one of my mother's chances to show off many of her amazing talents in creativity, both in cooking and decorating.
Thee are some of my family's most favorite brunch recipes:
