Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost Review & 25 Paypal Cash Giveaway

You know how I’m always offering to do just one more thing that I really don’t have time for?  Well the folks from Swiffer contacted me last week and asked me to review the Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop Starter Kit In The Box… I looked around the house (which was a disaster), and my lengthy to do list and decided that I could probably squeeze in one more thing… I am the Juggling Act Mama, after all!

Mr. Juggling Act is usually the one to clean the floors… I hate doing the floors. Sweeping drives me bananas and mopping is even worse.  Of course, being a food and craft blogger with two kids, my floors are always a mess.

Over the years, we have tried a number of different mops on our floor, with varying degrees of success. When we first moved into our house, we had a Swiffer Wet Jet but didn’t like the steaks that it left.  The Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost is a huge improvement over it’s predecessor – it has a swivel head and the Febreze cloths smell amazing.

If you’re looking for a last minute solution for a holiday gift, Swiffer has this exclusive offer for you: buy a Swiffer Bissell Steamboost Steam Mop Starter Kit In The Box before December 31 and receive a $15 mail-in rebate (rebate restrictions apply). For more info on the rebate, visit www.swiffer.com/rebate.

The kitchen smelled so wonderful after Mr. Juggling Act was done cleaning the floor, and the SteamBoost did a good job of cleaning our really dirty floors.  Unfortunately, it also left steaks, and it seemed like there was a thin residue on the floors after we cleaned them which was a bummer. Remember that I mentioned my floors were extremely dirty to start and we only used one pad, so maybe the results would have been better had changed it halfway.

A few years ago, we purchased the Shark Electric Steam Mop. While it doesn’t have a swivel head, it does a great job cleaning the floors without leaving streaks. The cloth pads can be washed and reused, which is great for the environment. The Shark doesn’t seem to have as big a reservoir for water and needs to be refilled in the middle of cleaning our relatively small kitchen floor. The SteamBoost cleaned the whole floor without needing to be refilled.

The SteamBoost is less expensive initially the then the Shark Electric Steam Mop, though I think the cost of the refills would add up quickly.

I did have a steam mop, however it was worn out from use! I loved my steam mop and found that I used it at least once a day in my kitchen. I love the way my floor looks after steam mopping and I love the way I feel when I know I have done my best to clean for my family.
